I am purchasing a 94 5.0 Gt and I am going with AFR's (I heard they are the best). I believe the 185s are not street legal....are you tryin to keep it legal??

...and lower 400HP is a difficult task without power adders (i.e. S/C, Nitrous, etc...)

wrong. just like the 165's they make a race only head and a street head. but with ur application 165's would be just fine. look into comp cams, stuff they have some of the best out there, or go custom. 400 bhp is gonna not be easy wit a 5.0 but a trick flow 1 cam and some 1.7 rr along wit a nice intake, holley or eddy, and 400 bhp wont be too far off. good luck

185's do come in street legal form with the EGR passages.
so you can get them in Street Legal form

get 185's and a custom cam for them, plan on having ot upgrade the springs though
factory AFR springs are a bit weak
