my calculator shows that it would be a total of 544 lift on intake and exhaust. so that is the size of the x cam which usually works on a stock bottom end. tw heads would be a good upgrade, but porting em out a bit wont be a bad idea. good luck. u should always measure the ptv though.

[align=left]It will not work. My friend wouldnt listen to us and he put an F cam in with 1.7 and broke valves cause they were hitting the pistons. You can only go up to I think .520 lift with stock bottom ends.

Valve lift and PtV problems are not related.... however....if you leave the stock valve springs, and cause them to bind and break.....piston and valves will collide regardless of the valve lift.

Duration plays a large part in it too, It has a good amount of duration too so i would doubt that it would clear but you wont really know for sure until you check it with it in, id play it safe and not go above anything with 520 like most do

not it will not work too much lift with too much duration you can use up to 544 lift wit a smaller duration such as 220-222 at .050 if your gonna use tftw heads i would use a corresponding tf cam such as the stage one or two

Following that "logic"......and using the 1.7 RR's......

F303 = 220°/220° and .544"/.544"

Stg1 = 221°/225° and .530"/.542"
Stg2 = 224°/232° and .576"/.598"

[sm=dontgetit.gif] ....isn't that a contradiction?.....
