Hey all,

I'm a relatively new Mustang owner. I have a 1986 GT 5.0HO 5-speed, headers, H-pipe, dual chamber Flows. I live in Wisconsin but the car is from North Carolina. Rust free except for the hatch which I hear is a problem area for the southern cars. The paint job on the car is 3 years old, Jalepeno Red. There's tiny bubbles forming on the hatch, sucks. I plan on fixing it this winter, but I don't know which route to go. You think I should just fic it the conventional way (i plan on prepping and priming the hatch and taking the hatcha body shop so they could paint itas I have left over paint and the paint code), or dive in and get a fiberglass hatch right away and never worry about it again? The only company I found so far is Glasstek out of Illinois. What do you guys think?

i would have the hatch check out to see if it is just the paint bubbling. if not just go with a replace ment hatch off aanother car and not the fiberglass hatch. they dont seal real good on daily drivers and leak water. i sold mine because it was a pain.
