Default installing AFPR

i attempted to install the BBK AFPR today, given a short time frame. those tiny bolts are impossible to get to without taking off the tb, egr, and whatever else vaccum lines are in the way. is there a special tool to use? i got a torx bit to fit but no way to get a ratchet in there.

At least take off your throttle body. Mine was a pain in the as* too. took me forever and i only got two of the screws in but got away with it. Try taking off the EGR first though you might be able to get your fingers in there but is gonna be tight. Goodluck

Taking the upper intake and fuel rail off takes no more then 30 minutes. Then its really easy to change the fuel pressure regulator.

Wow, you mean that there's something that's actually easier to change on an SN95? It took me about 5 minutes total to take the old one off and put the new one on.

Disconnect battery, purge the line, remove vacuum line, remove two screws, remove old regulator, put new one on, put screws back in, battery back on, charge line, set base pressure, attach vacuum line, done.

why disconnect the battery?
It served two purposes for me. First, any time I'm working around sensative parts (like removing or installing a tweecer) or any time I'm working around raw fuel, I want to make it as safe as possible. Although it's unlikely to happen, the last thing I want is a spark from a frayed wire somewhere in the bay (or anything else) to start a fire. I actually have had the alternator send off a huge spark when a screwdriver accidentally grounded the hot cable in the rear. I forgot to diconnect the battery that time and it would have been ugly if I had my scheader valve or something out (considering it is only inches away.)

Second, I was replacing a bad regulator which screwed up my fuel trims. So I had to reset the KAM so that I could log new short term and long term fuel trims and so that my computer could relearn the new setup. Then I could fine tune from there. With the tweecer, I always reset the battery after making any changes to the MAF transfer or anything along those lines.
