Default low coolant sensor??

does anyone know which 5.0s have low coolant sensors? my radiator overflow tank cracked and 50resto has one that accepts alow coolant sensor and one that doesn't. i'm assuming my car doesn't have one because the overflow tank is bone dry and i'm not getting a low coolant light or anything. i'm a little confused because i thought all our cars had low coolant sensors. i guess i'm just curious about which cars had them and which ones didn't.

Maybe it is a GT option, I know my 87 Gt has a low coolant light when I start the car up. I have never ran low on coolant so I am not sure if it works properly when my coolant actually gets low.

i got a 91 coupe that has it... stupid sensor is always going on and off. i guess a new one from lappens is like 70 bucks. i figure i will just look where i park from now on and that will be my gauge... any idea on how to get the light to stay off though?

GT's came with them, LX's did not.
