basic engine rebuild
im buyin me a bike, so i dont need the car for a few months so im doin a basic rebuild with some extra hp outa it..... right now i have the engine striped to the heads and no intake and i have all the pumps and everything off, just not the alt yet... so i was going to take the heads off next i guess... but my question is how do i get to the oil pan the best? its parked and a small angle on my driveway.... and i got jacks and stands...
cool mang... what kinda bike are ya gettin... I ride an 02 F4i... love it!!
as for the rebuild.. you really should pull the whole engine out... if you don't have a hoist and a stand.. they can be had for a couple hundred bux... just makes it alot easier

its just a zx6r 96 kawasaki, for dirt cheap, like 1500.. just sits in garage, ima take the engine out, but part by part.. heads and what no, down to the block
Me and my bros did an entire engine rebuild with just a few jackstands and a small hydraulic jack, a cherry picker was helpful in hopisting in the engine though, you can rent one, but it is cheaper if you just go ahead and buy it. Especially if you ever do something like this agian.

i got my own cheri picker already.... but it be at my shop, not at home, and got no truck... but yeah i'll just leave the oil pan on i guess.... and go from there... if the cylinders arent that bad im thinkin i could just hone em out myself, a friend of mine says he did his and his company vehicles like that... so cant be to hard
