NO start........dead
Well you might have read some of my post about the 1971 model 302 motor swap into my 1992 ford mustang...............Im sorta new at all this, just going to school right now for auto, this forum has helped ALOT. This is mostly a learning experience for me.......I just tried to start the motor and the worst thing happened, it sounded like it backfired through the intake and blue smoke was coming from under the hood.........it just turned over with no start??????? Heres what I have done........swapped in a 1971 model 302 rebuilt into my 1992 mustang gt, swapped in a HO 302 firing order cam............... I am starting to think that this is a timing problem, I know that the timing at the chain was on the dot. I am unsure at the distributor now, because I thought it was at TDC on number one but Im starting to think the harmonic balencer is wrong after seeing the pistons not at TDC when the balencer is.......the balencer isout of a 82 model 302........Any ideas of the problem?
