Default check engine codes

last night i was driving and my check engine light came on then went off so today i stopped at autozone and bought a scanner these are the codes i got

158 - mass air flow signal too high
72 - innsuf. manifold vac change or problem with msg center control assmbly
76 - innsuf vane air flow
542 - fuel pump circuit open connection
58 - vane air temperature signal too high
72 - same as above (dont know why it gave me the code twice
76 - " " '
542 - " " "

any help is greatly appreciated. thanks all

how much was the scanner.... i tried to get one at autzone and they told me they don't make on for older cars.

i have heard people that get alot of codes like you are sometimes they disconnect the battery for 15minutes then try it again so old codes don't get brought up and only new ones do.

scanner was $30

thats cool, i go run out and flipmy breaker then post the new codes in a half hour, should be long enuff to forget the codes i suppose

alright well i just powered her back and took her for a spin, this time all im gettin is code 111- check pass, guess i'll have to drive it around tonight and pull the codes tom morning... anyone know what the original codes mean?

adumb... the scanner is an actron CP9015 the package says compatible with some 84 5.0L's and all 85-95 5.0L engines

all last night, now i have only one code its giving me code 189

HEGO sensor not switching. Could this be caused from an exhaust leak? i think i may have one, or could this be from a bad HEGO sensor? any idea any one?

Check for an exahust leak, fix it if you have one, then clear the codes. Check for codes again.

189 - system at rich adaptive limit at part throttle, system rich (left)
