if it were me i would have the piston to valve clearance checked and then have the heads milled accordingly

58cc

If that makes the compression too high for you, adjust it witha head gasket. The 61cc is a different chamber design. It's not the same thing only 3cc larger. Buy the 58cc and work with it.

I you have a low mileage block, then go with the 165's and spray.
It would save you the trouble of having them notched, plus have more power down low. They will also be better for that cam.

Ive heard that 58cc = more compression therefore recomended for natural aspirated.

as for 61cc = less compression therefore recomended for blower, turbo, or JUICE.

you need to do more research Imus

why not think outta the box and get something like canfield 170's? it puts you in the middle size wise and they are kickass heads that everybody and their momma dont have running around on their 5.oh's

170cc intake runners - 2.02/1.60 valves - 61cc CNC chambers - most .550 lift cams ok with stock pistons

Just incase you're not aware the 58cc and 61cc heads use stud mount rockers so your stock ones will not work.

even wit a 100 shot i still think those heads would be a little much. people over look the capability of the 165's.
