Any timing light will work on my 88GT SD right?

Stock timing is 10 right? i always run 93 octane so what, advance it like 2*?

yes any inductive timing light will work..

if you are sure that you always run 93, you could probably get away with 14-15*.

after you set it, take it out for a ride. WOT in 3rd gear is a good way to test for pinging.
Note: do not free rev the motor to test for pinging. It will only ping under load.
