Actually, there isn't really a break in needed on a roller cam motor...if anything you'll want to go out and run the **** out of it to seat the piston rings. I'll get a link in a second.

you are supposed to break it in. you guys are asking for problems.

Yeah, there are big break in problems with flat tappet cams, especially with today's oils not having the zinc and phosphorous additives they once did. Even then, break-in can be quick if it's done properly. The guy I work forhasbuilt flat tappet race engines that get a 10-20 minute break-in then go run continuously at 6,000rpm for a season or 2, and if anything fails it's usually not the cam. With a roller engine though, it's not an issue since there's virutally no friction between the cam and lifter

um going to run it like its always gonna be run, like a scalded dog. anyways i left the filter on the table to cut it open to see what was inside and my dad looked at it today. ( i changed the oil yesterday) he said the seal came off the old filter and stayed on the engine and caused a double seal and is making it leak. phew lol he said he had that happen to him once (and hes changed oil quite a few times lol) so im going to go fix it now.
btw if an engine (hydraulic roller) cant handle WOT within 100miles of startup, what makes you think it will be fine at 3000 miles? if its gonna break, its gonna break.

So you had to rubber o-rings on the block? That's not uncommon, I always check the old filter I take off to make sure the seal came with it. And yeah, like you said, if it's gonna break, it's gonna break
