Default Nitrous problem

I havent has it long but i went to track tonight with a 150 shot. When I went to launch It bogged down then took off, then it started detonating in second and i got out of it. I changed it to a 125 shot and it did better but it felt like it kinda was hiccuping in certain spots throughout the powerband. On those two runs I had the timing at 7 deg.is that to much. It felt better the next run after I dropped it to about 3 deg. Anyways the good news is blowing off the M/T's in first I ran a 8.18.

anything above 100shot needs extra fuel.
just because you upgraded the pump doesn't mean the fuel is getting in there. the injectors are still operating at normal duty cycle, they are ignorant of the n2o.

more retarding is just a band aid, as far as i'm concerned, although i'm not really a nitrous "guru", so to say.

wait for someone else to chime in here.

Thats totally NOT true. I have run plenty of mustangs on 150 wet shotwith the stock fuel pump and NEVER had a problem.

you shouldve been fine. however, what octane fuel where you running? the 125 shot shouldve been fine with 93 octane, but anything higher you shouldve used some race fuel. also, you may have some carbon build up on the piston causing the detonation.

I thought it would be the same idea to start with, wet or dry. But im not a nitrous "guru" neither. U should post this in the pipes, boost, and juice section. Im sure you'll get all the help u need there...
