As stated above I want to run 275 40 17 in the back on this rim, can it be done and will it rub? I believe that the car is dropped about an inch to an inch and a half. right now i have 255 45 17 all the way around and the front rubs a bit but the back does not.

I have 275/40-17 nitto drag radials on my 17x8s, i've heard nittos are really the only tire you can run in that size on an 8" rim though because they run narrow...
