Default hurst shifter

hey guys i have a hurst on my 94 gt and it keeps coming loose!! it's really annoying... does anybody else have a hurst with this same problem?? i think i might just get the steeda tri-ax

you know those two bolts that hold the shaft and head together that go through the middle of the shifter, they are always coming loose and i have no idea why.... no matter how hard i tighten them they always come loose

is it threaded on one side? could you put a nut and bolt on it so it wont come loose?

that's the thing there isn't a nut on it and it's only long enough to just bareley go through the other side of the shifter

if your using the stock shifter handle with a hurst base toss it!! the rubber on the stick skews how tight it'll get or like mentioned above loctite it.

iceman is right, try some lock tight and see if that works. and automotive store should carry it

alright thax alot for the help guys i think i'll go get some loc tite for that bia.. and no i'm not using the stock shifter handle it's all hurst... i'll try the loctite
