RE: help with my 5.0!
manual steering is exactly that. a manual rack. you cant just link the lines together, the rack will never move. you'll destroy it quickly if you run it dry, too.
get a manual rack from a 79 granada, bolts right in. |
RE: help with my 5.0!
the rear leak could be the ujoint spitting grease everywhere, unless its dripping down from the seal at the pinion gear.
the trans just needs a seal |

RE: help with my 5.0!
awesome, i'll look into it,
Another thing, I see everyone mention removing the front sway bar for weight transfer or something, but what about the rear sway bar? I've read I can delete the quad shocks w/ the u/l control arms I'm putting in, so what about that? |
RE: help with my 5.0!
yah, u can remove both sway bars if you wish to.. dont expect tight handling anymore though..
and yah, the quadshocks can be removed if you upgrade the control arms. |
RE: help with my 5.0!

will this kit work to delete the AC/PS/Smog stuff? And if I put an electic fan on the car that won't matter, right? for the pulley setup I mean. link....http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_42758_-1 thanks again for the help! |
RE: help with my 5.0!
hey, i was searching on autozone.com and didn't come up with a manual rack for a capri, but found one from a 79 mustang/capri 5.0 car for $150, that'd be the same rack as my car right, since 79-04 mustangs are essentially the same?
