Default Trick flow intake clearence

I was trying to install my trick flow intake on my 91 GT tonight, but I have an issue. The EGR valve hits the fuel pressure reg. Has anyone ever heard of that before. I know they had issues with valve cover clearence, and I know you have to buy the adaptor for the 94-95's. I dont know why it will not fit right.

I don't have any problem like that on my 87. Theres about 2+in. gap between the vavle and regulator.

When I did my intake swap I put on my kirban AFPR and then proceeded to try and fit the TF street heat upper and it was doing the same exact thing, the EGR was in the way. I gave up and put the stock FPR back on. I tried to make it fit again a few weeks afterwards and I must have done something right because it fit like a glove. Try moving around your fuel rails (loosening the two bolts that hold them on) and fitting it.

Awesome, you guys are pretty good. I thought it was an aftermarket FPR but didnt know for sure. Did some searching on google with what you said it was, and sure enough.

I will loosen up the bolts and give it a shot. One guy said he took a hamer to his egr and that fixed his issue. I was thinking about taking a dremel to it and cutting some of the un-needed metal away. I guess either way if it pisses me off enough, I will just put a plate over the EGR hole and call it a day . Thanks again for all the help.

My BBK FPR sits flush with my EGR....if it were any bigger it would not fit...

I actually cannot pull the vacuum line off the FPR without prying it back a bit.

he'd probably have hood clearance issues then if he doesn't have an aftermarket hood.

I have the 1 inch spacer, and I have no clearance issues. I have a kirban FP reg. I think the only clearance issues you would have is with the SN95 cars and the TFS intakes. The fox motors are a little lower and if I am not wron will accept the 1"spacer with no issues.
