But a 275 doesn't bulge on an 8" rim.

I'm using the 15X10 draglites with 6.5" BS and my car is lowered. I am also using 28/10.50/15 MT drags. The top of my tire sits just inside my wheelwell.
Now i did have to beat my inner fender well all to hell and i also had to roll my fenders up but it does not rub anywhere.I dont have any spacers behind my wheels in the rear.
I went with the 10" wheels because i wanted a full footprint out of my tire. Now here is the trick--- I turned my adjustable granetelli lowers into lift bars by welding different brackets to my rear end and that where the lower control arms bolt to. Just like the brackets that you use for the megabites with different mounting positions. Now when i launch the car the rear trys to lift, planting the tires. They dont sell these brackets,so i made them. So thats how mine works and i'm getting great 60' times.
The wheels work on the fox body cars but it takes work. And a BIG HAMMER.

They bulge slightly, but with lower air pressures and higher more of the tire is going to be contacting the pavement.

ok, well i went to the track on friday night and mounted up my slicks after beating the hell outta my inner fender thinking i had enough clearance when i was at the house, the slicks rub just a lil bit on the drivers side inner fender, my car is lowered and i havent rolled my fenders, they clear fine on the outer fenders just not the inners,, so im going to roll the outers anyway, i jacked up one of my studs so pulling the axles to restud using 3" studs, ill add a 1/4" spacer and put my stock springs back on that will give me another inch or so for height, i have to do all of this anyway, HP confirmed turbo shipped on friday so i will need the 28" slicks for sure
