my car over heates when i drive it not when its in idle so what could b the problem

 

Bad water pump not circulating the coolant, or a clogged radiator.

 

ok so i did my water pump then when i got it hot it started pouring out on the bottom of the water pump u think the new one is defective

 

Yes, especially if it was a reman. unit, been there, done that. I would replace it if I were you.

 

reman water pumps are junk, found that out on my 98

 

its new from autozone brand new 45 bills when its cold usually at night if im on the free way then it will be in the middle the needle but now it will b on the R and O in Normal so my t stat is good i tested it out mayb the radiator when its hot i see the colant flowing in the radiator when the cap if off

 

so....
