Default 8 pin brown round connector plug? I don't have it?

I'm trying to hook this EFI 5.0 into my 67, and to do that, apparently I have to make a few connections at the round, brown 8 pin connector near the M/C and the test port.. However, I don't seem to have that. I do have 2 round plugs, but one has 4 wires going into it and the other has 3.. I thought it was an 88 harness but maybe I'm wrong?

Also, before I cut and splice, what normally goes into those plugs? I don't have the VSS harness and don't want to cut anything until I know where that harness goes.

Thanks guys.

The VSS harness is on the inside of the 88, I believe the plug for that is black. As far as the 8 pin connector, not sure

What do you mean exactly by on the inside? Does it not plug directly into the EFI harness? What plugs into those 2 connectors (or the brown connector?). Thanks!
