Lets' get serious here now. Drag strips are for slicks!!! Why not get some new lightweight drag wheels and some real MT ET drag slicks to run at the track only, all you gotta do is get a small Sears floor jack and change them for the stock wheels and tires when you get to the track. I did this for several years until I finally took my Stang off the street and made a full time race car out of it. I would also recommend you get a new 8.8 rear with a Detroit locker and some c-clip eliminators with the 31 spline axles in there to put the power to the ground with the slicks. you might also want to consider some 4.10 gears depending on how much highway driving you do on the street. some new rear control arms would also help you hook up much better too.

yeah my upper/lower aren't the greatest (southside)......i'm not doing 4.10's unless my 3.73's are prematerly worn.

first of all, dont paint ur car. u obvioslty have the right mindset that performance is the priority. second mof all, get a locker cause u will have much more traction. the tires situation- i wish i could help you but i havent gotten to that point yet (cause its not even on the road yet).

 

how much are they? i'm going with mt's d/r's though sorry.

what aBOUT the bbk valve covers?
i went to e-bay can't find any rims

 

You can do a spool, get a full spool, not a mini spool.. Definately those BBK Valve covers (what im getting) , Weld Draglites, either the 5 star ones, or the 10 hole, both look good on fox's... Definately slicks, do you hjave 5pt harnesses? Get some racing seats.. Completely do your suspension with some Eibach Drag springs/shocks 90/10 - 50/50 or something, control arms, new bushings, the works...
