Default Control arm install

Is there anything that im going to have to worry about when I install my upper and lower control arms. My buddy just told me to unbolt the old ones and put the new ones on, and its as easy as that. do i have to worry about getting a spring compressor or anything falling on me while im under there? Thanks for the info

uppers, no problem. i was NOT mechanically able to change oil (two years back) and i did my uppers in 1 1/2 hours BOTH sides.....

LOWERS.... different story..... 8 to 10 hours..... follow your parts directions and when you need to jack the axle back up to align the bolts that bolt the lowers with the torque boxes..... put the jack under the pumpkin (with the car already jacked up) just to level everything out. that is where the 4 hours of firguring that shiz came from. if you need any other questions pm me.

i wish i made videos of everything i have done to my car, everyone would know how to do all but forced induction and general matenence things hahaha

8-10 hours ?
i have done 3 sets and no where near that long even on the first

raise the back up high, let the car down on the frame rails orSF connectors, lets the rear suspension drop all the way down, that'll take the weight off the springs but you'll still need to persuade them a bit, it's a one man job mostly, but if you have a buddy help it's much quicker as one can do one side and then you can help each other for lining stuff up and getting the springs back in.

removing the old bolts is the hardest if they are all crudded up otherwise it should only take about 2 hours by yourself on the lowers, i have never done uppers, don't really need to.

Alot of factors determine how long it will take..expect the worst and hope for the best. Things like control arm bolts rusted to the sleeve, wiped out axle bushings...things like this can add significant time to the install. My cars condition underneath was wonderfull...all bolts were easily removed but axle bushing were shot..they take some effort to remove and required a pneumatic chisel to remove the bushing sleeve. I am fairly capable under a car and had and exhausting 6 hours alone. You should have two jacks and min 2 jackstands...it is straight forward but in now way quick and painless.
