rear end
I just picked up a 88gt and I am new to mustangs. One thing I noticed was that the drivers side rear tire sits in farther. I looked around to see if anything looked odd, nothing that I saw. Tires are the same size and width to...anybody got any ideas? Thanks
its the metal U shaped box where the front ends of the upper and lower control arms are bolted to the chassis. they are only stitched welded to the sheet metal of the floorboard and can be bent or welds broken by lots of hard launches at the strip, especially if you have a manual tranny and slicks and dump the clutch at high rpms. they make kits to replace or reinforce the torque boxes if you race with a lot of HP and torque.
