oil slinger
I just got done swapping an 85 5.0HO into my mustang ii, and it'e leakinga good amount of oil. My dad got to feeling around on the oilpan and block and we realized when we moved the dipstick to use a front sump pan, we didn't plug up the old hole, could the crank be sloshing oil out the hole when i accelerate? It seems like it's only leaking when i accelerate because the smoke from the oil burning on the headersgets worseon acceleration. Or maybe it's the oil sloshing out of the sump and towards the back of the pan. Can anyone confirm this? Because plugging a hole is a lot better than taking the motor back out to pull the oil pan and reseal it again.
i dont know if you can plug it, i've never done the swap.
but the reason its slinging out as you accelerate is because of the higher RPM. if you sit in your driveway and hold it at 2500rpm it will spit out just as fast as it would with you driving it.
