RE: steeda tri-ax sucks!!!
i have a pro50 on a built tko and i've had most others except the mgw (i've heard good things about it)....the pro50"clicks" into each gear...if that's what you mean by choppy then thats how it's supposed to be. fyi i deflike the pro50 over the tri ax and it doesn't get much easier as far as a swap

RE: steeda tri-ax sucks!!!
My buddy had a BBK ripper i believe and that thing was sooooo nice and precise. Short throws too. Ive heard good things about MGW also but it seems that the short throw shifter war will never end. Is there any way to test them all and compare them? That would be a nice sticky....

ORIGINAL: ALMOST STOCK
7 yrs with the Tri-ax and it's still pull to 2nd --push to 3rd-- and pull to 4th.I'venever experienced a choppy feeling or once missed a shift in that time with the tri-ax , but againthat's just me.

Hurst is where its at. smooth shifts everytime. never missed a gear. tall enough to where i can still sit back in my seat(im pretty tall 6'1") and you guys forget, the hurst is totally for our era of car.

i've never missed a shift, but it is notchy as hell. i can't go smoothly into 2nd, 3rd, or 4th without it having to click in neutral, then me pull it again. its like pull-notch-pull. this makes it to where its not a fast shift at all.i think i could shift faster in the stock shifter, but the downside to it was missing gears...
