I would, at this point check and see if someone installed a non-stock camshaft.
Readings like you got could be as a result of some extra duration in there, that will lower the readings of test.......
i got a e cam with one 1.7's... a after market cam would cause lower compression?

i just want to throw this out there if you didnt know when you do a compression test to get the best result take all the spark plugs out make sure the engine is hot. and when you crank it over put the gas to the floor to make sure the tb is open all the way. oh yeah make sure the coil wire is off too lol

sure would. you could get my valve over lap which brings your compression down.

i took out all the spark plugs and the engine was warm but i didnt floor it...... because of the cam and rockers it gave a me alittle lower compression level which means.... my numbers are good?

I am not disagreeing, as you may have more experience than me. But in my 351, the cam has a duration of 246/259 @ .050, i cant remember adv. duration, but it is over 300, my compression numbers are all between 180-185, well, come to think of if it i also have 11.1 compression, so maybe that is why the high numbers.

if you want to try it again put the pedle to the floor it should up the numbers a little bit getting more air in the chamber will give you a better compression. im still not sure how much valve over lap you have with that cam so that could do it too. the intake and the exhaust valve will stay open at the same time longer and you will lose some of the air coming in the intake valve and going right out the exhaust. the less valve over lap the higher the compression

yea, if you need the car to get all around, leave it alone. If you dont care throw a 125 shot to it and start saving for a rebuild
