Default Head Installation Advice Needed Please !

I just bought a set of Edelbrock Performer Heads and roller rocker from my friend (stud mount). Could someone please reccomend which head gaskets to use, I am on a budget. Also could someone give some advice on how to adjust the rockers. I plan on buying stock length hardened pushrods and ARP bolts. Thanks In Advance.

i have heard good things about cometic gaskets, but i dont know how much they are. I hear that you just adjust the rockers till they dont click on the pushrods anymore and that is zero lash at tdc and tighten them there.

Quick ? Are you running a cam? If so what size is the vavles? If 2.02/1.6 I have you checked for piston to vavle clearance?

Lash is the term used to descripe the gap between the rocker arm and valve stem. Zero lash is no gap. On solid lift cams, you have to adjust a small gap between the rocker arm and valve stem when the piston is at TDC (no lift on cam for that valve). With hydraulic lifters, you adjust until you just reach no (zero) gap then you typically turn the nut 1/4 to 1/2 turn more (depending on application) to slightly depress lifter.
