MD..11.40's? with what mods ya ole goat
8.5# boost, cams, bolt-ons, and slicks. current best on street tires is 11.92@120, with slicks only 11.81@117 (in 20* cooler weather). Cars coming out of the hole hard then bogging, need more gear for the taller tire

I think roundman told me it was a stroked 351w with heads and all the goodies, he gave me the rundown a few weeks ago while it was in the building process but I can't remember exactly and if he got it finished.

Well I do know he's going the BB route...
or was it a stroked 351?
Don't know but he's not gonna be the slow old man he once was.
You got that right OB, ain't going to be slow no mo, just old! LOL
The new engine I'm having built is a bored and stroked 351 using a Dart Iron Eagle iron block with 4 bolts mains which will have 438 cubic inches total displacement. The rotating assembly will be all forged pieces and the compression will be about 12:1. It's going to have a mechanical roller cam and good heads with a Demon carb and should make about 550 HP or so at the crank. I'll know for sure soon as it's close to delivery time and it will be broken in and power dynoed prior to shipping. I hope to have it all ready to go by the time the track opens March 5 and I will keep you posted on the results. Now if I can just get rid of this damn cold.............[:@]

I'll be running in the Modified (no box) class for points like I have for the last few years and definitely hope to improve on my 44th place finish from last year. Just hope I can get the car dialed in during the test and tune sessions prior to the first points race on March 19th. Besides opening day, which will be a real zoo if it's anything like last year with all the street racers coming out, there is the IHRA open test and tune on March 10-13 where I can get some seat time also to get the car and new engine all figured out I hope!
And of course I'll be doing my best to get bragging rights here on the forum too so all you guys and gals out there better be getting your rides ready as well!
