Ok so this is my third t-5 I pulled this one out of a 93 gt. It shifts fine but my problem is it mounts all the way against the shell and it is way to far forward ,like with it bolted in it ripped the rubber boot and my shifter bezel wont go on.

Why is this?

No because it was in my buddys car and it set fine in his.
Wouldn't a longer input shaft make it longer.

was your car originally a stick? or are you sure its a t5 and not a tremic?

 

The originalcar Missiori HP unit and the papers say it was a 5-speed car. How would I now if its a tremics. my clutch is for the t-5 and so is my short throw.
