I have a 94 gt, an have a strange puzzling problem. It will start fine some times an not others. It wouldnt start the other day so I had it towed to the local ford dealer an it started right up for them. I have replaced the coil, plugs, dist. cap and rotor, fuel filter. It still won't start some times, usually when it wont start I can pull a boot off of a plug put a plug in it an ground it an I don't get spark. Im puzzled so if you have any suggestions plz post em. thanx

its either gonna be the ignition module(TFI) or the pickup coil inside the distributor(PIP)
i'm leaning more towards the PIP.

 

i forgot to add i also changed the icm but how does it act when the pickup coil goes out

 

no spark or injector pulse

 

my brother's car did same thing it was PIP like matt said

 

injector pulse? no spark though.

 

mines did the same thing too. my problem was the starter.

 

if the pickup coil is going out will they be able to pick up the code if it starts?
