I was not sure which intake manifold i should purchase. Ive heard good things about Eldelbrock performer 5.0 RPM II, which was my first choice. But i might be changing my mind for the TRICKFLOW R intake. What choice should i go with>?

Kinda hard to answer that question with not knowing what you have. What mods to motor? And i am assuming a 302?

dont the holley systemax's beat out both of those on s/c and n/a motors?

i thought i read a magazine article (dont remember which one cause i get 3) where they compared all the intakes on the same engine and the edelbrock was first, folllowed by the step down version trick flow, and then the holley.......but like stated it all depends on how the engine is set up to run

i think that trick flow your looking at is more for race applications. im sure you could use it but they say you need to have a lot of other parts to match the flow of that intake. the edelbrock is a good one i see people with that all the time but that compared to the trickflow r, its a lot more mild of an intake.

Where'd he go? If you are stock and plan on being stock for a while, but you just have to get an intake, i would go with something cheaper, like maybe a typhoon. I would not put alot of money in a motor if you plan to stay stock. And with stock i mean even if you have the tb,cai,gears and yada,yada,yada.

yea if you are stock dont waste the money on a good intake.....if you want a little bit better intake fine a gt40 off an explorer

choosing those intakes depends on the cam ur gona run and where u want ur power. big cam. trick flow r series. the systamax makes good power curve. i never ran one, but usualy ppl r impressed with them and all around good performance
