FK-35 Install help

FK-35 Install help
I have directions and I am a bit confused on one part of the directions, I am trying to find out if I need to hook up both the yellow and red wire to an ignition source or am I suppose to attach the input side with a fuse and to the battery and then attach the yellow to the ignition wire by itself. Thanks for any input from anyone.

An automatic fan contoller for the 3.8l fan I put in my car.
Btw, this can be deleted because I just spoke to the guy at dc control and he gave me all the info I needed.
