Default Extremely Weird Problem

So my heater core went out like 2 months ago in my car, i get a new one(From Ford), installed it. Now my car runs like total $hit, sometimes it holds an idle, sometimes it surges really bad, but when i drive it normally, sometimes it blubbers like its missin, then i when i get on it revs up to 3000 rpm, and just falls flat on its nose there is no power at all, it just barly makes it to 3500rpm and then shifts really hard, it does this going into 2nd and 3rd and 4th, idk what this problem is but its pissin me off, does anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

Are you sur you got the system totally full of coolant? You could be getting a bad reading from the coolant temp sensor causing it to run pretty crappy.

It might be full but did you burp the system? You might have an air bubble in there. Also, have you tried pulling any codes?

Are you sure the vacuum lines are hooked up under the dash?

i didnt install the heater core myself, a guy that works for my dad(mechanic) installed it while i was gone, so idk about the vaccum hoses what would be the best way to find out about the hoses, w/o pulling the whole dash out again

I wrote that before you wrote your other comment. You may want to get on your back and grab a flash light and see if you can see anything under the dash, remember that he could have accidentally disconnected or broke a vacuum hose under the hood as well when he disconnected the two heater hoses for the heater core.

Why not take it back to the dude and ask him to fix his own work?
