Default Progress:

Making some good progress on the first of the two project cars I bought.

We brought it home on the trailor looking like this:

Anyways, I straightend the little bit of frame damage over the gap for the air box (need a little bit of welding done.. soon as she runs again we'll take care of it), sanded all the rust in the bay down, new alternator, battery, valve cover gaskets, upper to lower gasket, and a ton of sanding then paint on the upper manifold and valve covers, new radiator, new coolant hoses, and new gaskets for the throttle body (which I haven not put back on yet.

How's it looking so far?

Also.. it for sure has a cam in it, high end after market rockers, springs... hell pretty much the stock heads completely rebuilt (possibly P&P?) with top of the line pieces. When we pulled off the upper manifold, which all gaskets on the top side were horrible, the gasket there and everything else looks like it was almost new. I was told that the entire bottom end had been redone right before it was wrecked when I bought it.... starting to believe they werent kidding.

And had no idea it had that color rockers in it (the ford racing b351's) when I picked out the color for covers. lol

It was a blue metallic engine block paint from autozone. I used 3 coats on all, with a plain white primer I sprayed on first.. Had to break out the dremel for some of the sanding in tight places. Turned out pretty smooth though and pretty tough so far.. dropped a rachet on it and didnt scratch [&:]

Wow something about your car strikes and erie chord in my head... ohh wait, its becauseless than a year ago I was in a very similar situation.....

And with LOTS 'O MONEY and time a patience... itnow looks like this....

The Interior is now finished 100% complete and in perfect condition. The Engine has a FRESH rebuilt 306 and is about to be swapped to a 408. The Engine bay is now painted the same color as the car and everything shines like new, and my wallet is empty.

Ohh and its good to see a fellow Oreilly shopper... I know they are big in the midwest...
