I got the gt40x alum head engine with the e cam and it claims 340hp. I was thinking about changing camshafts to this one http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...+flow+camshaft

So if i got this cam would i have to change anything else?. Its a brand new engine so nothing is worn out or anything. And how much extra horses will i get over the e cam?. Thanx ya'll.

 

the trick flow would be better. Check out the compcams XE224HR. I think thats the right number, go to the AFR website (www.airflowresearch.com) and go to articles, then ford articles, and see the ultimate guide to cylinder head group 1 part 2(dyno test), they use the cam on their test motor and i think they use it with your heads. Its a great article, anybody cylinder head shopping should check it out also.

 

you wouldnt have to change anything, you would notice a lil more hp

 

so anyone got any ideas on a good cam for my setuo other than the compcams one?.I want more hp and I dont want to change anything else. I just want to slide the badboy in.

i see nothing wrong with the trickflow stage 1. that and some 1.7 roller rockers and you should be in business. i might get a trickflow stage 1 when i get new heads, i just love its numbers.
