battery relocation
i am getting ready to buy a battery relocation kit and i was wondering if 2 ga wire is big enough when its gonna be like 15 feet long? and body know any good kits for a decent price?
Go with bigger cable and make your own kit. Buy a box and than piece it together, its not that hard and it will prob save you some cash. Im prob missing a few things since i did mine a while back but heres a small parts list.
Pos/Neg Cables
Box
Vent Tube
2 Threaded Rods
Battery Hold Down (that goes over rods)
2 lock washers (for underside of car)
2 lock nuts (for underside of car)
4 nuts (2 for bottom of the box, 2 for the hold down)
2 wingnuts (for top of box)
That should be it.

I've been using 00 gauge welding cable years now.
REASON, it has like 300 conductors (strands) in there instead of just a few like battery cables have.
Never had a problem yet.........

This is what I used. I was fairly pleased except the 3/8" threadedrods they supplied where too short as was the negative cable. I had to make my own. So I would say 88blue is right, the best wayis to make your own. Stereo cable is very good for this and flexible.
