i towed my car from my house to the tuner today 250$, he worked on trying to get it to idle good for 9 hours straight and told me he cant tune it, he tried a different ecm, different maf, messed with everything and the only time my car will idle with out surging is if the maf is unplugged. anyway since they worked nine hours trying to tune my car they wanted to charged me 900$ but the felt bad and did it for 300$. so i towed all the way back to my house for another 250$ which brings me up to 800 dollars waste of time and money and my car runs worse than it did when i brought it to the shop and my ecm is hanging by the wiring harness with some chip in it and my car wont even stay running. does anyone know of any honest mustang 5.0 shops anywhere in california that have a dyno and can fix my surging problem please share becuase i am really bummed

damn man thats rough i wish i could help you out with that but i havent gone through super street yet so i dont know how to tune computers yet or even know why its doing that. im sure someone knows of a good place out there, there has to be its cali

 

If they couldn't tune your car you shouldn't have paid them. Why pay someone for work they do that doesn't accomplish anything?

Damn that sucks, I'm thinking of the Anderson PMS, I never checked into megasquirt, do they make them for foxes

if you were near san diego i would tell you to go to JBA Racing. I used to work there and we would get all the cars that other people couldnt tune.

 

not many people "produce" the megasquirt...

youll just have to find someone who will build it to the proper specs... then buy a adapter to plug it directly into your harness... like the ones I make

 

Another place near San Diego is called Total Performance. I've never had work done at the shop but everytime I go there for parts there are 10 stangs up on the racks getting hooked up. They specialize in race engines and performance parts. 619-562-9894, ask for Greg (owner).
