Currently an owner of a 07 Stang GT which is my DD. Im currently looking into purchasing a 5.0 fox to work on and be my weekend stomper. My question is what are things i need to look out for.I am not veryclued inwhen it comes to these 5.0 stangs.

they have lots of little "features" that present themselves from time to time, but its nothing this forum hasn't heard of.

As far as the internals and the block in a stock 5.0 go, what kind of HP can they safely run before things start to bend and crack.

as long as you got good oil flowing through sufficiently, the block will go first. they split down the lifter valley somewhere around 475-500whp

How does the rearend hold up to abuse with a higher output engine and DR's?

depends on how well it was cared for.
i know a guy that has a 12 second car on his 3rd rear, and a guy in the 10's on the stock rear.

Can you recomend a few sites that distribute or specialize in parts for the 5.0 stang? I have found numerous sites myself but none of which seem to have a wide variety of parts. Most just seem to have the usual CAI's, exhaust and suspension mods, Im looking for a little bit more then that. The sites im used to going to cater more to the New Edge and s197's. Anything will be appreciated.

Thanks for the replies, as far as summitracing goes ive had a enough bad experiences with them and have read plenty threads in multiple mustang forum sitesto know better then to use them. Thanks for the help.
