is there any companies out there making new tubular gt40 intakes?

 

"New" Tubular GT-40?

 

i know that i can buy them used from other people but i didnt know if there was any companies out there making new intakes exactly like the original tubular ones or if buying them used is my only option.[/align]

 

i know that sometimes after a part is discontinued that a company will get the molds or blue prints or whatever and continue making the part again, so i was wondering if there was any company out there making the tubular gt40 intake in this nature, or if it is only avalible in the used market

 

That I know of ..the Tubular GT-40 has been discontinued and no one is manufacturing a new version.

 

Does that mean they hold their value?

 

You can only buy used ones at this point. Ford is not going to share the patent or let anyone else manufacture that intake.

 

I bought mine last yr for $250 and it was ported but during the same time I saw them as high as $600+. It's what ever the market will bear!

 

why not buy a real intake? the GT40 is pretty old and there are better ones out there now
