Question on pulleys...........
Did the 79-93 5.0 mustangs have a option to buy the car without A/C, and if so, did ford use a idler pulley in place of the A/C pump, or what did they do to get the belt coming off the alternator to the P/S pump to not bottom out onto the other belt because of the tensioner?
if i go to a junk yard would it be possible to use the bracket off of a non a/c car to move the P/S pump up on my 1985 mustang gt? The car originally had ac, but it was removed and they left the P/S pump in the factory location and routed the belt a wierd way that bypassed the need for a tensioner.i have to get this P/S pump moved up so that i can use my pulley tensioner.

why dont u just buy a ac delete kit from somewhere like summit.
there not much and i would be easier than moving ur pumps around and crap.

umm, ya, this vehicle is my daily driver so i NEEDED a belt on it yesterday. i would order a bracket online but why pay shipping and $40 for a aftermarket A/C delete bracket that i can hopefully find in a junk yard for 5 bucks???
