where can i decode part numbers on an engine?

ok the part number i got is off an intake i hoped it would tell me what kind of vehicle the motor came out of it is as follows d70e-9425-bd

so i'm probably looking at an ltd motor? where are the numbers ln the block? if the intake and heads are true to that motor are the heads worth anything?

no not really heads are nothing special on that one...the block casting number will be on the block just up above the starter
