Well that leads me to believe that this spring was originally what I thought it was. It is the "bend over" spring, very similar to the very high last line on every estimate: "shop supplies: 3,600,000."[:@]

Anyone else ever seen it?

I have about twenty hours rubbing out the paint right there,
But very well worth it!!!
I spent about the same amount of time doing the same...

So what is the story behind the spring???? Did you just find it laying around, did someone tell you that you need it, ????

I was told that it was important to replace. I haven't heard of anyone replacing it beforeon a fox andknow they are by the pedal assyon a mechanical linkage.

And... while I continue to sound stupid was Adder serious there "but something leads me to believe that its supposed to be between the clutch fork and bellhousing, under the insprction cover," and justspelled the last partthat wrong on purpose as the joke, or is he actually referring to something...

I'm already fed up with the whole clutch issue. Makes me hate the car! Nah, I was just kidding I love the car like I love lamp.

that spring has nothing to do with your mustang and not even on a early 60's stang either as I have a 66 4 speed now t-5 5speed and nothing like that at all!!!

Nah! The "e" and the "r" are right next to each other so I'm sure he just "fat fingered" it.

It wasn't on the car. I got it from the shop as I picked up the parts. Work hasn't started on the car, but I had never heard of it it on the cable clutch so that is why I am doing all the research. Basically, I feel like I'm mitigating damages at this point in time.

thanks for adding to the other post about the t-5 with the link to modern driveline.com. I am posting another question on there as well, so let me know what you think. Thanks.

Oh yeah, in the T-5 bell housing link (http://www.moderndriveline.com/image...ellhousing.jpg) what is the black piece off to the side? dust cover or something?
