everybody keeps talking about the headers and h pipes and exhaust stuff, do you put it all on yourself or do you take it somewhere?

i want to know if i should plan on doing it my self.

 

I haven't done headers yet, but everything else I've done myself. When I do get new headers I also plan on putting them in myself.

 

yes i did my whole exhaust, FMS shorties, mac h-pipe, and flowmaster american thunder cat-back

 

so when you buy everything its all preformed and just bolt on huh?

 

yep, there might be a little modifying but nothin the average shmo couldnt do

 

I think the worst part is the header bolts, seems everytime I've ever messed with them they don't like allowing wrenches in there to tighten them. Oh & it seems I had to pull the headers apart to make them fit.

 

Just put my new shorty headers and H pipe on last night.

 

i didnt do my custom exhaust becouse it was all welded in one piece but since i took that one out, im doin mac 1 3/4 lt's with there 3" mac exhaust all the wasy back. i already put the headers on for mock up and took them back off but i plan on putting everything back together my self. that hardest part about doin the exhaust is taking it off, especially if its all rusty it sucks, but putting it on is a sinch

 

I did my full exhaust. Not so bad, def worth it.

 

I did all mine myself as well.
