Shift light install
I just picked up a shift light from summit today and was wondering what is the easiest way to install it??? It has 2 wire loops coming from the bottom of it that you clip for 4/6cyl cars, and i'm not sure if i'm supposed to tuck those back in or what.
any help???
any help???
yeah, it was like 35 bucks. i grabbed some summit sport wheels while i was there. Where did you route your wires, and which wires did you splice into??? did you run any through the firewall???
I put mine on the column, used Velcro to attach it, keeps it lower and then you can remove it to set the dial. I ran my wires thru the fire wall to the coil ground(the green coil wire), then hooked the positive up to a keyed source.
In the picture it was mounted with the bracket it came with, but I couldn't see to adjust the dial.....it sets lower now.

what about those 2 wires loops that are supposed to be cut if you have a 4/6 cyl car??? do i just stuff those back into the shift light or something???
It did come with instructions, but they are pretty much "install shift light, summit not responsible for your screw up"

I'm either going to mount it on the steering column, or on the right side of the console, like to the right of the hazard lights button.
