im putting drop springs on my car and trying to get the strut back in and i had 4 shims but i cant get it all to line up without falling out or it doesnt line up then they fall out neways. i got it back together with 2 of the shims and i think theyre just to take up space between the strut and spindle. any help please?

What year is your car?
I never heard of shimming the strut?
Unless you have coil overs or installing new struts, there is no reason to remove the strut to change springs.

I should have said you don't need to disconnect them.
Here is a link to instructions that mention shims to fit the struts to certain years and models.
If they were there before it sounds like you need to get them back in there.

Your welcome!
Get those struts changed and get an alignment before you kill your front tires.

LOL.... Thats why I just took the tags off my notch.
I need new tires, CC plates, struts and alignment too.
I'm thinking about selling the car instead of dumping more money into it.
