These Auto Specialties smog pump eliminator brackets allow you to free up some additional horsepower. They mount in the same location that the smog pump did, and they even use the same belt.

on this kit can i take off all the line runing to the pump and to the rear of the engine

 

why buy an elimitor when you can bypass it with a smaller belt?

i bought the part up top so i can use stock belt so can i take all the hoses off

 

so you paid 70$ for something you can do with a 25$ belt? you can remove all the lines and just plug up all vaccum ones

 

for those of you that used a smaller belt...what size did you use?
did you have to adjust the tensioner at all?

Yeah man, all you had to do was get a smaller belt, 84.5", keep the tensioner in the same place, and routed it like this...

thats not how i ran my belt, i went under the tensior

 

where cna you buy this belt? like at autozone or somewhere?

 

after reading this post i went out and got a belt in the size stated of 84.5 and it was still too long i have an 88 gt with the 5.0 HO looks like i will have to still look for a new belt
