TRICKFLOW TRACK HEAT AND STOCK MOTOR???
I just got a great deal on a track heat intake, but I wanted to know if I'm wasting my time putting it on a basically stock motor. Should I just wait til I put my heads and cam in the car and do it all at one time. Basically I would like to know if I'm going to kill the car with only adding this intake. Please let me know. Thanks!!! Still learning about these damn 5 liters. Damn I miss my 3 valver......[:@]

It's hardly worth the time that it would take to install it. Not much of a gain with just an intake. It won't make you lose HP if that's what you're worried about. Me personally, I would wait until I got a good set of heads and install it all at once. That way you see real good gains.

Cool, thanks for your opinion's fellas. I'm probably going to just wait til I get the heads and a better cam then throw them all on at once. If the gains are minimal I can wait. The 3 valver was stolen a few months ago. Howthey got it I'll never know. The car has yet to be found though. Or I've never gotten a call about it. Sucks because the damn thing was beautiful and a set of drag radials away from 11's.
I think I'm going to get a set of AFR 185's, haven't decided on a cam yet, and then a stall converter. This car gets all sorts of attention on the street. Much more then my 05 GT. So I need to get it up to speed. Heads are first on my list though. Without them it's just another 5.slow.....

just my 2 cents, i say you wait unless its going to be a prolonged time before you do the heads and or cam. Your going to gain hp and torque with an intake, but the stock e7 heads are the biggest restriction on the 5.0, so until you change your heads the intake isnt going to give you 100% of what it could give you. My guess is you would gain 10hp maybe 15 tops with changing the intake. And thats being generous.

Not anywhere near enough to recoup my loss. But I got some money back. I only wish I hadn't taken the car that night. I was going to drive my other car, but I handn'tdriven the mustang in a few days and I had to take it. Oh well..... I guess that's the way things go sometimes. I'm rethinking this 5.0 thing too. I have the car for sale right now. It's nice and all, but just not the same. Maybe with heads, intake and a cam it will be close, but right now it's nothing like my 05.
