HELP!
I am taking the accessories off of the old engine with the engine still in the car. I am getting ready to pull the old engine, but I can't seem to get the power steering pump off of the bracket. There is one more bolt on there, but it is nearly impossible to get to. Does the pulley have to be pulled off? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
No I cant because one of the bolts to the bracket is behind the pulley. I tried a pulley puller, and it snapped the puller in half. So I don't know what the hell I am going to do. I am stumped. My Fox didn't have this problem. It's very frustrating.
If your working on the 94, the manual says you need to remove the pulley first then the bolts.
Get another puller, spray the pulley with blaster spray and let soak, remove the pulley by hand. (no air gun) Don't break the puller. For a really stuck pulley some heat applied around the centerwill help pop free. Don't overheat it or you will need a new pulley and pump.
