I dont know anything about chips, unless highly modified they are useless. Do's the car run bad now? Stock timing is 10 degree's on a stock motor. Give a some info on your mods.

im going to run a very similar set up(gt40 heads, exploder intake, differant(bigger) cam) and im not getting any kind of chip for it...

i dont know much about mass air and what you can/cannot do, but im SD and im going to tune it myself using timing, fuel pressure and such

you dont need a chip, set your timing at 10 which is stock and your done, or advance it until you ping and then back off a degree or two. dont go above 14, i say 12 is reasonable.

I have my timing set at 13, and it runs fine, 87 octane fuel, stock engine.

ok i'll take it out but main reason being why i got the chip is to eliminate the timing retard my model 5 0 has how much does that help or hurt performance wise?
