Default 1983 transmission..

i want to do an engin swap on a 1983 mustang and im going to convert it to a stroker and right now it is the 302 and a manual. what should i do abouttrans sawp, what would be a good thing to switch it too?I have the 5 speed out of a 1994 v6 will that bolt up or what will i need? i also had a question on if it was possible to do the 4 lug to 5 lug conversion from the 96s hubs or so on.. sorry im new with some of this..

what trans do you have in there now? is it a 4 speed or 5 speed cause they will both bolt right up to your new motor with out a problem

there is a 4spd in it now and i have a 5 speed out of a 1994 will the 5 speed fit right in? without changing aything?? and what about the 4 to 5 lug thing?

you have the change the input shaft to an 84-93 input shaft for it to fit and get the same year bell housing. your 4 speed will be fine though so you can keep that in there no problem. as for the 5 lug there is a write up for that in the stickies

anything from 84 to 93 you need a new cross member and piolet bushing but that is commen sense about the piolet bushing
