Default Rotor HELP!!!! WITH PICS

So here is my story. I bought rotors from one store which came out to $165 for the pair. I went to another store and bought another set of rotors because they were $134 and $20 off that. So here is my problem. I took both pairs out of the boxes to compare. Well the ones I paid $165 for look MUCH better. So not only do they look better but the actual size of them are much bigger. I measured the ones that I paid $165 for and they were 10 inches 7/8" long. The other ones were 10 inches long.

[The one on the left is the cheaper one, and the right one is the more expensive one]

I also measured the wall thickness and the cheaper set was 13/16" thick and the more expensive ones were 1" thick.

[Cheap set is on the left and the expensive ones are on the right]

I looked at the height of the two from where the lug nuts go to the actual surface starts and you can see the height difference.

More or less the offset of the two. It is hard to explain, if someone needs a better explanation please let me know!

[The one on the left is the cheap one and the one on the right is the expensive one]

So my question is which one would you guys chose, and also will they both fit? I would like to keep the more expensive ones as they look much stronger, but I am not sure if they will fit. Will the larger rotors fit on my car or not?

Here are some other pictures of the two rotors.

Cheaper rotors

Expensive rotors

One of those rotors is the wrong one. The Caliper's size and mounting location will only allow 1 certain size of rotor to be used.

which one though is the question [8D] I told both places the rotors I needed and for what car and then somehow they are different. The thing that makes me kinda think, is that they both look to have the same bearing places and obviously same 4 lug....whats the deal?

How did you end up w/ 2 different sized rotors? Maybe the smaller one is for a 4 cylinder car. Take a measurment of your car and then you'll be sure which one you need. I would suspect it's going to be the larger of the two.

Thats what I mean. I went to "Canadian tire" and bought rotors. They were the more expensive ones. They are both the same size. I went to "parts source" and bought another pair. I compared the rotors from Canadian tire to the ones from parts source.

The ones from canadian tire are larger then the ones from parts source. Hope that cleared it up

Candian tire had rotors/drums for 25% off so I bought them.

I then noticed Parts source had there rotors/drums for 15% off and my dad had coupons for save $10.

I went to Parts source to get a quote and they quoted me $135, so I figured they were much cheaper.

When I phoned parts source now, they told me that the rotors for my car were $91 each. So either way its the same.

I am just going to return the crappy 4 banger ones and keep the ones I already have.

Thanks for everyones help....especially PRO....your always great with helping others out.

p.s parts source shouldn't hire ladies to do this type of stuff [:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]
